Martin Tibbs is an award-winning artist who has
focussed his attention in recent years on portraying the speed and
excitement of motorsport. His life-long appreciation of the dangers
and thrills of the sport were witnessed first hand when he suffered
a serious leg injury while driving a Kawasaki 1000cc motorcycle
around Europe. Displayed nationally and internationally, Martin's
artistic illustrations using Formula One and Motorcycle racing as
his subject matter have earned him acclaim in the art and sport community.
Martin began painting in oils at an early age, later attending West Cheshire
College of Art. Born in 1958, on the Wirral and now specialising
in motorsport, his paintings portray all the excitement, drama, glamour
and colour, with the physical intensity and excitement of the cars,
pits, crowd and track . His work is vibrant, powerful and unique.
